This Privacy Policy explains how Yarlis LLC ("Yarlis," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information when you visit yarlis.com, use our products and services (the "Services"), or receive text (SMS) messages from us. By using the Services, you agree to this Policy.

1. Information We Collect

Information you give us

  • Contact details: name, email address, phone number, company name, job title.
  • Account details: login credentials and settings you choose.
  • Mobile phone numbers that you add for text-message alerts, and the record of your consent (date, time, method, and verification code confirmation).
  • Messages you send us, including replies to text messages (for example STOP, HELP, or alert acknowledgement codes).

Information collected automatically

  • Device and log data: IP address, browser type, operating system, pages viewed, referring URLs, and timestamps.
  • Cookies and similar technologies (see Section 8).

Information from others

  • Business partners or your employer, when they set up an account for you.

We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information (such as government ID numbers, health information, or financial account numbers) through the Services, and we ask that you do not send it to us.

2. How We Use Information

We use personal information to:

  • Provide, operate, secure, and support the Services.
  • Send transactional and operational messages, including on-call and incident alerts, security alerts, and account notifications you have opted in to.
  • Verify your identity and phone number.
  • Respond to your requests and provide customer support.
  • Monitor, prevent, and investigate fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements.
  • Improve the Services using aggregated or de-identified data.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for targeted advertising.

3. Text Messaging (SMS) Privacy

  • Consent. We send text messages only to mobile numbers whose owners have opted in. For our internal on-call alerts, an authorized user adds their own mobile number in our alerting tool and confirms it by entering a one-time verification code sent to that number.
  • Message types. Alerts about incidents on monitored systems, security alerts, and account notifications. We do not send marketing text messages.
  • Frequency. Message frequency varies with the number of incidents.
  • Cost. Message and data rates may apply.
  • Opt out. Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving texts. You can also remove your number in the alerting tool or email contact@yarlis.com. Reply HELP for help.
  • No sharing of mobile information. We do not sell, rent, or share mobile phone numbers or SMS opt-in data or consent with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Mobile information is shared only with service providers (such as our SMS delivery provider) as needed to deliver the messages you asked for. All other categories in this Policy exclude text-messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

4. How We Share Information

We share personal information only as described here:

  • Service providers that process data on our behalf under written contracts requiring confidentiality and security (for example cloud hosting, SMS and email delivery, and support tools). They may not use your information for their own purposes.
  • Legal and safety: when required by law, subpoena, or court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Yarlis, our users, or others.
  • Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy's protections. Section 3 still applies to mobile opt-in data.
  • With your consent or at your direction.

5. Data Retention

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes in this Policy, or as required by law. When you opt out of text messages, we keep a record of the opt-out so we can honor it. When information is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it.

6. Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the risk. These include encryption in transit, access controls based on least privilege, multi-factor authentication for administrative access, logging, and monitoring. No system is completely secure. If we become aware of a security breach that affects your personal information, we will notify you and the authorities as required by applicable law.

7. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on where you live (for example under the California Consumer Privacy Act or other U.S. state privacy laws), you may have the right to:

  • Know and access the personal information we hold about you.
  • Correct inaccurate information.
  • Delete your information.
  • Opt out of any sale or sharing for targeted advertising (we do neither).
  • Not be discriminated against for exercising your rights.

To make a request, email contact@yarlis.com with the subject "Privacy Request." We will verify your identity before acting and respond within the time the law requires. An authorized agent may submit a request on your behalf with proof of authorization. If we deny your request, you may appeal by replying to our decision.

8. Cookies

We use essential cookies to run the site and, where enabled, analytics cookies to understand usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings. We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals where the law requires it.

9. Children's Privacy

The Services are not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

10. International Users

We are based in the United States and process information in the United States. If you use the Services from outside the U.S., you understand that your information will be transferred to and processed in the U.S.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy. We will post the updated version with a new "Last updated" date, and for material changes we will provide additional notice (for example by email or a notice on the site).
